  • Smoother skin & calmer acne (Weeks 4-8): Texture softens; bumps feel less “angry” as pores start to clear.
  • Diminished look of enlarged pores (Weeks 8-12): Consistent BHA use helps decongest, so pores appear tighter and more refined.
  • Brighter, fresher-looking skin (Weeks 4-8): Turnover + balanced hydration boost overall radiance.
  • Faded dark spots (Weeks 12-16): Post-blemish marks gradually soften with steady routine and daily SPF.

Results compound with consistency—ease into BHA

  • Decongest at the source: BHA clears inside the pore to reduce congestion and the look of acne, enlarged pores.

  • Hydrate while you treat: Urea pulls water in and softens texture, helping skin tolerate exfoliation consistently.

  • Keep balance: Hemp seed oil cushions and locks in moisture so results last, not just “flash improve.”

  • Barrier-friendly cleanse: Gently and effectively removes dirt and oils from skin without drying

Purging is a short adjustment phase where faster cell turnover (e.g., from BHA) pushes existing clogged pores to the surface, causing brief, quick-cycling breakouts in your usual breakout areas.

Not everyone purges—only those with deeper, pre-existing clogs (microcomedones) hidden beneath the surface that get pushed up when cell turnover speeds up.

If it happens, it typically lasts
6–8 weeks, then settles.

If you’re unsure or it feels like irritation (burning, stinging, widespread redness, flaking everywhere, new breakouts in new areas),  reach out—we’ll guide you through the phase.

How to ride it out (brief):
Keep your skin moisturised with a noncomedogenic, soothing and gentle moisturizer (Urea Moisture Cream), don’t pop pimples, avoid adding other strong actives for now. Less is more. Keep applying so all the underlying acne can come to the surface and get cleared

Hemp Seed Oil has a low comedogenic profile and a high linoleic acid content, ideal for acne-prone skin. Used as the last step, it locks in moisture without a greasy film and supports clearer-looking skin.

It is best to keep it simple so your barrier stays strong and your results compound. Avoid strong actives like other exfoliants (AHA/peels), benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin/retinoids, or high-strength vitamin C. Less is more. Protecting your barrier helps BHA do its best work.

Our cleanser, Urea Cream, Hemp Seed Oil, and BHA (salicylic acid) at 2% are generally considered compatible with pregnancy and breastfeeding when used as directed. Trusted medical sources list topical salicylic acid at low concentrations (≤2%) among acceptable options. If you’re unsure, please check with your OB/dermatologist. Avoid applying leave-on products to the chest/nipple area before nursing.

Stick to ≤2% leave-on BHA; avoid high-strength peels and large-area body use while pregnant.
